I've been sitting at home trying to write music all night, with nothing to show for it.. A couple of throw-away melodies and I listened to some of my new, unfinished tracks for about the 1000th time... Maybe not my night, so I thought maybe I should update my website!
I'd like you to know I am working on a new album! It will be a departure from my recent release 'Stone', in that I am working on recording mostly everything in my home studio. I don't know even roughly when it will be available, maybe in 2013, but I do know that it will feature excessive amounts of synth, drums, singin', maybe some guitar, 80's Casio pt-80 keyboard, purple egg shaker etc...
Recording an album at home is something I've wanted to do for a long time, and I feel now is the time to really work hard and come up with something which I can be really happy with. It's hard to find the motivation to sit down and focus all day everyday on writing/recording/producing music. I have to constantly remind myself that the music isn't going to write itself, and the only way to create something great is to work your ass off!
So on that note, I might don the headphones and rework these three chords which have been doing my head in for the last 4 months.
